 Art 1: (5-7 yrs)
- Students will explore the works of Famous Artists and create their own unique works of art, inspired by the style and materials used. We will work with different mediums and techniques to discover the difference between 1,2 and 3 dimensional pieces. Their works will be presented to the public at an end of session vernissage.
Art 2: (8 to 12)
- Students will have studio time every other week working from still life in different mediums, including but not exclusive to acrylic paints, charcoal and pastels. The week between these studies will be used to create a finished piece of art using what they have learned. We will look at the importance of the process of art and each student will choose one piece that they are most proud of to have framed as the center piece for their vernissage during the last class. Sketch book required for small out of class studies.
Art : (teen):
- Students will be taught the various techniques of drawing and painting. They will create their own portfolio of work and select which pieces they would like to show at the vernissage.
